Secure communications are a requirement for most satellite networks. Certain situations require the absolute highest levels of security that go beyond encryption. iDirect TRANSEC (Transmission Security) communications platform secures VSAT transmissions from interception and exploitation by incorporating encryption inherent in COMSEC; AES 256 Bit and FIPS 140-2, while masking traffic fluctuations and authenticating remote terminals. Through a combination of hardware and software, TRANSEC ensures data blocks are a uniform site, concealing traffic engineering information while incorporating x.509 certificates to authenticate remote terminals. Adversaries that are monitoring a TRANSEC enabled network only see a constant wall of secure data precluding anyone monitoring the network from extracting any usable information.
