COMTECH SPECTRACAST |

SpectraCast® DTMX5000 is
a DVB-compliant MPEG–2 IP gateway. It encodes digital satellite data
transmissions for broadcasting of IP-based Ethernet traffic, supporting
high-speed data communication for fast, secure, and reliable TCP and UDP
over IP applications. The DTMX5000 manages data traffic between the
Internet or other information sources and satellite downlinks at
variable rates of up to full transponder. While supporting multiple QoS
levels, the DTMX5000 controls both bandwidth allocation and the number
of simultaneous subscribers. |

SpectraCast DR5000 is
Comtech EFData’s next generation of IP enabled Integrated Receivers and
Decoders. Compact and economical, it offers MPEG-2 and DVB-compliant
decoding and demultiplexing of data streams for such varied applications
as virtual private networking, IP multicasting, fast Internet access,
etc. In conjunction with SpectraCast DTMX 5000 IP Gateway, the DR5000
provides an end-to-end solution for IP networking over satellite. The
DR5000 offers small and large subscribers seamless, high-speed,
cost-effective IP connectivity for Internet access (bypassing the
terrestrial network congestion and delays), real-time multimedia,
multicast and other applications. |

CiM-25 is a low-cost
solution for providing an Internet Protocol (IP) Monitor and Control
(M&C) interface for existing Comtech EF Data satellite modems and
frequency converters. The CiM-25 provides a proxy interface between IP
and the equipments existing serial remote control interface. The CiM-25
provides a complete IP interface supporting web server (HTTP),
SNMP, and Telnet interfaces. The web server interface allows the
operator to setup and control the equipment via a standard web browser
(Internet Explorer
5.x or Netscape Navigator 4.x minimum versions). The SNMP interface is
available for customers who prefer to use the framework provided via
this standard protocol. The Telnet interface is provided for customers
who have already invested in a PC-based M&C application, but prefer an
Ethernet backbone to the standard RS-232 or RS-422 serial interfaces. |

equipment including modems, transceivers, up and down converters and
redundancy switches. It constantly monitors the health of devices under
management and provides a user-friendly interface for reviewing or
modifying device
configuration. CMCS software scales for managing networks of any size
and accommodates network growth. |
